Crydom’s new "LVD" series of DC output Low Voltage Disconnect Solid State Switches is designed to disconnect 12 or 24 volt battery systems from their loads when the battery voltage falls below a pre-selected DC voltage. The LVD will also automatically reconnect the load circuit once the battery voltage returns to a normal value after charging. The LVD series is offered in a rugged industry standard encapsulated panel mount package with screw terminals.

The Crydom LVD series requires no operator interface to interrupt or reconnect the battery circuit. Featuring all solid state construction with a low Rds on resistance FET outputs rated at 40, 60, 80 or 100 amps maximum, the LVD series is available with 6 different threshold voltages to choose from. Crydom’s new “SeriesOne DR” family of AC and DC output DIN Rail mounted Solid State Relays are intended for use in heating, lighting and motion control applications where DIN Rail mounting is preferred and higher output power ratings are required. Featuring a unique proprietary thermal management design with no exposed hot metal surfaces for safety, the SeriesOne DR family includes AC output ratings at 40°C ambient for single channel models of either 6 or 12 amps, and dual AC output models with 6 amps per channel, each rated at either 12 to 280 vac or 24 to 600 vac. DC output model ratings at 40°C ambient include single channel versions rated at either 6 or 12 amps and 1 to 60 vdc or 1 to 100 vdc.

The SeriesOne DR features 4 to 32 vdc, 90 to 140 vac, 208 to 265 vac or 18 to 36 vac inputs and includes an LED input status indicator. The SeriesOne DR 6 amp single channel versions are 11 mm wide while the 12 amp single channel and 6 amp dual channel SSRs are each 18 mm, all mounting on the industry standard 35 mm DIN Rail.

AC output versions offer 3.75kV all solid state optical isolation with SCR outputs and are available in either zero voltage turn-on for resistive load applications, or random turn-on for inductive load applications. DC outputs offer 2.5 kV all solid state optical isolation with FET output for either resistive or inductive load applications. SeriesOne DR SSRs are RoHS & China RoHS compliant, CE certified, UL and cUL recognized including both General Purpose and Motor Controller ratings.

Crydom’s new CL series of AC output Solid State Relays is intended for general purpose use in heating, lighting and motion control applications where panel mounting is desirable but traditional heavy duty SSRs are not required. Rated at either 5 or 10 amps output from 24 to 280 VAC, the CL series features either 3 to 32 VDC or 90 to 250 VAC inputs and includes an LED input status indicator. The CL series is offered in the industry standard panel mount SSR package and is available in either IP00 or IP20 touch safe screw terminal configurations.

Featuring 4kV all solid state optical isolation with Triac output, the CL series is available with either zero voltage turn-on for resistive load applications or random turn-on for inductive load applications. Featuring all solid state optically coupled designs, CN series models are available with either a 240/2 amp AC output, 24/3.5 amp DC output, or 48/0.1 amp DC output. DRSCN series DIN rail mounted sockets include input status LED indicator and are available for 5 to 12 or 15 to 30 VDC control inputs, and 60 to 120 or 60 to 250 VAC/VDC control inputs. The 6.2 mm wide DRSCN sockets are designed to accept industry standard 5 mm wide SSRs or EM relays and snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail. The 30 amp versions of the CKR series 22.5mm DIN rail solid state relays offer an exceptionally high surge current rating for enhanced reliability in applications, including those using circuit breaker protection!

Crydom, an operation of Custom Sensors and Technologies (CST) and global expert in solid state relay technology, introduces enhanced one-cycle surge current and I2T ratings in the popular 30 amp CKRA / CKRD series 22.5mm solid state relays. Higher surge and I2T ratings are made possible by utilizing larger power semiconductors thus providing greater current handling capabilities.

As part of an ongoing process to improve and validate existing design specifications, engineers at Crydom have increased the 30A CKR series one-cycle surge current and I2T ratings which are now well in excess of the previously published specifications. Utilizing oversized SCR die and with a superior mechanical and thermal design, the CKRxx30 relays now boast a 1,140Apk / 1,200Apk (50Hz / 60Hz) one-cycle surge current rating, and a 6,500A2S / 6,000A2S (50Hz / 60Hz) I2t rating.

These enhanced ratings make the CKR 30 amp series ideal for use in heavy industrial applications where surge currents may be of significant concern, or where branch circuit protection is provided by slower reacting  circuit breakers. 

Additional features and benefits of the CKR series include a compact 22.5mm DIN mount package, integral heat sink that eliminates the need for additional thermal calculations and assembly, LED input status indicator, 4000V optical isolation, cage-clamp terminals, optional internal overvoltage protection, and an internal RC snubber network.
