Crydom’s proprietary thermal management technology and proven Solid State Relay expertise are now combined with advanced uP based timing in the new “SeriesOne DR” Timer line offering models with exceptional Solid State output ratings of either 6 amp AC and DC and 8 different precision timing functions with 18 variations in a compact 11mm wide DIN Rail mounted package designed for the direct control of a wide variety of resistive and inductive loads.

Crydom’s renowned Solid State Relay technology is now available combined with 8 different Microprocessor based timing functions including a total of 18 possible timing variations. Ideal for use in control panels for direct control of contactors, solenoids, motors, heaters, lights, etc. The SeriesOne DR Timer series is available with either 6 amp/24 to 280 VAC output rating or 6 amp/1 to 60 VDC output rating, both at 40°C ambient temperature…. ratings well in excess of most Solid State Output Timers in the market today, therefore allowing direct control of many loads thus eliminating the need for interfacing power relays often required for use with lower power timers.

Available timing functions include “A” & “At” delay on make, “B” single shot, “C” delay on break, “H” & “Ht” interval, “L” & “Li” repeat cycle, and “U” multifunction that includes A, At, Ac, B, Bw, C, D, Di, H, and Ht functions. Basic timing function selection is user settable via screw slot rotary switches on the side of the SeriesOne DR Timers, while unit and fine timing adjustments are made on the front panel of the Timers. This arrangement provides easy access to Technicians for simple timing adjustments but significantly reduces accidental changes to the basic function.

Control for the SeriesOne DR Timers, depending on model, is 12 to 24 VAC/DC for all models, with options of either 90 to 140 VAC or 180 to 240 VAC for AC outputs only. All Crydom SeriesOne DR Timers are UL listed and cUL recognized, UL Motor Control rated, RoHS and China RoHS compliant, and CE certified to the Low Voltage and EMC Directives.

Crydom are pleased to announce the availability of the new Selector for AC Motors which has been developed to support the application of Solid State Relays (SSRs) and Solid State Contactors (SSCs) into the AC Motors market segment.  Intended to assist in matching a SSR or SSC to single-phase and three-phase motors, this web based tool is focused on using relevant ratings from the motor load to select a Crydom part number with suitable UL ratings.

Complementing the successful Crydom Series H1 1200 Volt Blocking models, the new models now offer even higher levels of breakdown voltage and noise immunity (>1600 volts) for applications in installations where electrical transients are common and might otherwise damage less robust SSRs. The new Crydom Series H1 models include AC output ratings up to 90 amps at 660 VAC, with available control voltage of 4 to 32 VDC.

The Series H1 1600 Volt Blocking models feature 4000 VAC optical isolation, optional LED input status indicator, optional installed thermal pad and are available in either Zero Voltage or Random Turn-On versions. Crydom offers a variety of accessories for the Series H1 including a plastic touch safe cover, terminal lugs accepting up to 1 AWG wire, heat sinks rated from 5.0 to 0.5 °C/W, and mounting hardware kits. Crydom’s advanced DC Switching Technology is now conveniently packaged in a High Power “H” Bridge configuration with optional Soft Start, Soft Stop & Brake features for use in DC Load Reversing applications up to 60 amps at 48 VDC.

Crydom introduces the DP Series of High Power “H” Bridge configuration DC output Solid State Contactors, including control features for Soft Start, Soft Stop, and Brake functions. Rated for General Use at 20, 40 or 60 amps and Motor Controller rated for 15 FLA from 1 to 48 VDC in a 40 °C ambient temperature, the DP Series accepts logic supply and Input Controls of either 4.5 to 15 VDC or 18 to 32 VDC. Optional Soft Start/Soft Stop functions utilizing internal PWM are available with 0.2, 0.5 or 1.0 second ramps. An optional Brake function (not available with Soft Stop) is available with 0.2, 0.5, 0.8 seconds or continuous hold.

The DP Series Solid State DC Reversers are an all-solid-state design with 2.5 Kv Optical Isolation and incorporate low dissipation power FETs for fast and efficient Load control. Housed in an industry standard 75 x 105 mm Panel Mount package, Power and Load terminations are via screw terminal post, while Input Control is through an industry standard 4 conductor connector. Crydom’s World Class Solid State Relay Technology is now available to Electromechanical Relay users in the industry standard 12 x 29 mm plug-in package with ratings of either 3 or 5 amps up to 280 VAC or 80 VDC.

Crydom’s new “LifePlus ED series” of AC and DC output pluggable Solid State Relays offer Electromechanical Relay users the opportunity to directly replace traditional 12 x 29 mm EMRs with Crydom’s proven Solid State Relay Technology. Solid State Relays offer substantial performance advantages over traditional EMR switching solutions in many applications including significantly greater life expectancy (>100 million operations), contactless high speed switching eliminating contact bounce and resulting electrical noise, precise logic compatible control inputs, acoustically silent operation and high vibration resistance, among many others.

Available in a SPST N.O. configuration, the “LifePlus ED series” offers output ratings of either 3 or 5 amps rms at 24 to 280 VAC, or 5 amps dc at 1 to 48 or 1 to 80 VDC, all at 40 °C ambient temperature. AC outputs incorporate Crydom’s proven Back-to-Back SCR technology while DC outputs utilize high efficiency FETs, both technologies resulting in the lowest possible on-state power dissipation and high surge current ratings which make the “Crydom LifePlus” an excellent choice for applications such as small Motors, Solenoids, Heaters and Lamps. Optically isolated control inputs available include 3 to 15 VDC, 18 to 32 VDC, 48 to 72 VDC, 18 to 36 VAC and 90 to 140 VAC.

Cydom’s “LifePlus ED series” relays are UL 508 recognized for both general purpose and motor control applications and compliant to IEC 62314 LC-A resistive and LC-B inductive application requirements. The expanded DRA Series now includes compact DIN Rail Mounted 3 Phase AC Solid State Contactors, 3 Phase AC Solid State Motor Reversing Contactors, and DC Solid State Motor Reversing Contactors!

Crydom introduces its expanded offer of DRA Series compact DIN Rail Mounted Solid State Contactors. Complementing existing single channel and four channel AC and DC output DRA Series, the new models include 3 phase UL approved AC output ratings of either 1 or 2 horse power at 480 VAC in both contactor and motor reversing configurations, and UL approved DC output ratings of ¼ horse power at 90 or 180 VDC. IEC 60947 ratings are available as well for both AC and DC output DRA Series.

DRA Series 3 Phase Contactors feature an SCR output all solid state design with 4000 VAC optical isolation, AC or logic compatible DC control inputs, both with input status indicator, UL approved motor and AC output resistive load ratings of either 2.4 or 4.2 amps per phase from 48 to 510 VAC. Motor reversing models also include a control interlock feature that allows only off, forward and reverse operation.

DRA Series DC Motor Reversing models feature a FET output all solid state design with 2500 VAC optical isolation, logic compatible DC control inputs with input status indicator, and UL approved motor and DC output resistive load ratings of either 6 A @ 180 V and 12 A @ 90 V.

Designed for easy mounting to standard 35 mm DIN Rail, the new DRA Series of 3 Phase AC and DC output Solid State Contactors and Motor Reversers are available in a variety of input and output ratings.

Crydom’s new “EL” series  of Compact Solid State Relays include models with output ratings up to 20 Arms from 24 to 280 VAC or 10 Adc from 3 to 100 VDC with optional external heat sink.  Logic compatible control input versions include 5, 12 or 24 VDC.  Output termination is via 0.25” (6.35 mm) quick connect terminals, while input terminals are 0.187” (4.75 mm) quick connects.
 
Featuring 4kV all solid state optical isolation, the Triac output AC versions are available with either zero voltage turn-on for resistive load
applications or random turn-on for inductive load applications, while  DC output versions feature low RDS on resistance FETs suitable for most DC resistive or inductive loads. “EL” series SSRs are RoHS & China RoHS compliant, CE certified, UL and cUL recognized.
