With the SHT 6.3×32, Schurter is expanding its range of high-voltage equipment fuses. The high breaking capacity of 1500 A at rated voltage opens up many interesting application possibilities. The SHT 6.3×32 is available as a fuse link or pigtail version. Both models protect personnel and electronic systems from overcurrent and potential fires resulting from catastrophic short circuit events.

Schurter is initially offering the SHT 6.3×32 in ten rated currents from 1 to 8 A. The fuse stands out due to its high breaking capacity of 1500 A at a voltage rating of 500 VAC. Besides a wide range of applications in the energy and industrial sectors, the SHT 6.3×32 is especially well suited for the protection of 3-phase systems

Schurter offers the SHT 6.3×32 as a fuse link or a version with pigtails. Fuse links can be used in clips and fuse holders, which allows easy replacement of fuses without de-soldering. Schurter offers
a broad range of such clips and fuse holders suited for use with the SHT 6.3×32. The pigtail version allows direct assembly on printed circuit boards by means of through-hole technology and soldering. As a fuse that conforms to RoHS, the SHT 6.3×32 can be put to use in lead-free systems. Compatibility with the most important competitive products allows SCHURTER to offer the SHT 6.3×32 as a form, fit, and function substitute product. The SHT 6.3×32 fuse is cURus approved.

Technical features and benefits:
- High voltage ratings up to 500 VAC
- High breaking capacity of 1500 A @ 500 VAC
- Range of rated currents from 1 to 8 A
- Time lag (T) characteristics according to UL 248-14

For installations needing duplicate equipment sets, for reasons of operational security or to meet peak loading demands, Finder has introduced a flexible multi-function priority change relay, providing convenient control of main and secondary systems. Suiting for example, pumping or refrigeration applications, the 72.42 relay has been designed to alternate the duty of two sets of equipment to ensure even wear over time.

The relay can be configured to alternate the output duty either on successive applications of the supply voltage or via an independent input control signal. The 72.42 relay also provides a second input enabling both outputs to be forced on in response to a peak demand or an alarm signal.

To minimise any switch-on current surge, the 72.42 relay incorporates an adjustable output delay timer, supporting for example the staggering of pump motor starts. In addition, where maintenance of either equipment set is needed, the relay will ensure that only the healthy equipment set is made available.

Available in 24V and 110V to 240V AC/DC versions, the 72.42 relay supports a wide supply range and with two independent NO output contacts rated at 12A, 250VAC, is capable of directly switching single phase motor loads up to 0.55kW. Output status is shown by dual LED indication.

Finder’s priority change relay is provided in a 35mm wide housing and is designed for 35mm rail mounting (EN60715). The relay terminals are screw type and the unit’s protection category is IP20.

With a host of design features to improve both reliability and efficiency, the 78 Series of switched mode power supplies from Finder gives control system builders a stable and dependable low voltage DC supply. 91% efficient, and drawing only 0.4W in standby, this series of modular, rail mounted DC power supplies comprises 24VDC, 36W; 24VDC 60W and 12VDC, 50W output variants that support universal AC or DC supply ranges, respectively 100-265VAC and 140-370VDC.

Integrating the latest protection technologies, the 78 Series includes: thermal protection with fast output voltage shutdown; short circuit protection with ‘hiccup’ (auto-recovery) mode and overvoltage (varistor) protection. In addition, the power supplies’ high inrush current handling capability means they will safely tolerate loads with high current transient characteristics, such as capacitive circuits and solenoids fitted with ‘economy’ resistors.

To help minimise downtime in the event of a fault, the power supply inputs are protected by an easy access internal fuse, with an adjacent spare fuse ensuring an even more immediate fix. Able to be interconnected in either dual (bi-polar) or series configuration, multiple 78 Series power supply outputs can also be ORed using standard diodes to support both manual and automatic redundancy schemes, further augmenting control system reliability.

Measuring only 70mm wide and 60mm deep, these highly compact 35mm rail mounted power supplies can also help to reduce control panel size. Qualified to EN60950-1 and EN61204-3 normes, they are fully compliant with global EMC standards for power supply design.

Finder has announced the introduction of a pair of panel thermostats designed to maintain constant temperature levels in control panels and enclosures. Suiting the needs of both simple and sophisticated heating and ventilation systems, the 7T Series thermostats help to improve component reliability and preserve instrumentation accuracy through enhanced temperature setting and control.

With red or blue temperature setting dials to clearly identify the heating and ventilation variants, the 7T thermostats are IP20 rated and come in slim 17.5mm rail mounting housings, ensuring easy installation and usage in compact panel designs.

A temperature setting range of between 0 and 60ºC makes them suitable for a wide range of environments, while their snap action bi-metallic sensor means a positive switching action and a long electrical life (100,000 cycles). The thermostats’ output contact (normally closed for heating control, normally open for ventilation control) is rated at 250VAC, 10A, enabling them to directly switch heater or fan loads up to 2500VA AC1 and 250VA AC15.
