Finder has announced a complete family of 25A contactors, purpose designed for switching lighting, pump and motor loads in noise sensitive installations. Incorporating an AC/DC silent coil with varistor protection, the 22 Series modular 2- and 4-pole contactors help meet the need for quieter operation, particularly in home, hotel and hospital environments.

Provided in compact 17.5mm and 35mm wide housings, the 22 Series contactors include a standard 35mm rail mounting for simple consumer unit installation and both mechanical and LED status indicators for enhanced system diagnostics. The contactors’ minimum 3mm double break NO contact gap and protective separation between coil and contacts ensures installation safety standards are met.

Offering both 2- and 4-pole contactors, a choice of contact materials and multiple contact configurations, the versatile 22 Series provides users with 47 different options from which to select the optimum switching solution. For extra flexibility, an add-on auxiliary contact block and an auto-on-off selector switch variant are also included in the series.

The contact material options are AgNi and AgSnO2, the first intended for resistive and slightly inductive loads as well as motor loads, the latter for lamp loads and high inrush current loads. The contact configurations for the 2-pole products are 2NO, 1NO+1NC and 2NC and for the 4-pole products, 4NO, 3NO+1NC and 2NO+2NC. The auxiliary contact block is provided in 1NO+1NC and 2NO versions.

The Finder 22 Series 25A modular contactors are designed and tested in accordance with EN 61095: 2009, electromechanical contactors for household and similar purposes.

With its latest ranges of compact yet versatile timing relays, Moeller Electric now offers convenient and cost-effective timer options covering virtually every control panel and power distribution application.

Special features of the Moeller Electric timer family include models for operation direct from 400V supplies, which are ideal for use in three-phase systems where no neutral is available, models with remote adjustment facilities, and ultra-compact versions just 17.5mm wide, which save valuable space in distribution boards.

Featuring the same design and dimensions as the popular DILEM contactors, DILET timers are well suited for control panel applications. They are available in three types, the DILET 11-30 which is an economical option where an on delay of between 1.5 and 30s is required; the DILET 11-M which also offers an on-delay function, but has ten timing ranges covering 0.5 seconds to 60 hours; and the DILET 70 multi-function relay which offers a choice of eight timing functions as well as the option of adjusting the setting with a remote potentiometer.

DILET timers can be supplied in universal versions for use with AC and DC supplies anywhere in the range 24V to 240V, and for 400V AC operation.

For applications where maximum versatility is required from a compact timing relay, Moeller Electric offers the ETR4 range. Just 22.5mm wide, these DIN-rail mounting units cover times of 0.05s to 100h in ten ranges, and offer a choice of different timing functions. The range offers a basic on-delayed timer, a star-delta timing relay and two multi-function relays, ETR4-69 and ETR4-70 offering eight timing functions. The ETR4-69 has a single changeover output contact, while the ETR4-70 has two changeover contacts and also allows the connection of a potentiometer for remote adjustment.

Both the ETR4-69 and ETR4-70 have an opto-isolated input to allow timing to be initiated from almost any kind of external circuit, and both incorporate LEDs that give a clear indication of current status.

Moeller Electric’s ultra-compact ETR2 timing relays have been specifically designed for use in distribution boards, and are the same size as most miniature circuit breakers. In spite of their small dimensions, they offer a timing range from 0.05s to 100h, and are available in six different versions, including a multi-function model. All ETR2 relays are suitable for use with AC and DC supplies in the range 24V to 240V.

The new KF-series features exceptionally large isolation distances and offers high AC-23A motor ratings. It covers the range from 16A to 32A and offers disconnect capability of up to 1000V according to IEC 947. The rotary contact system incorporated in a new type of modular contact block allows high mechanical life expectancy and precise and reliable contact making.

The innovative modular system is both simple and very safe while offering enormous flexibility. All available modules can be combined, exchanged or added in the field, as can the very precisely working cam-operated auxiliary contacts. The position of the various modules in relation to each other
can be defined by the user or, if preferred, preassembled in the factory.

* Coupling profile determines pre-closing function of switched 4th pole,
i.e. contact modules per se are always the same

* Rotating contact movement (instead of classical vertical lifting) allows
big contact gaps
high mechanical life expectancy
very precise movement sequence
self-cleaning contacts
forced opening and closing of contacts

* Compact (very shallow) design

* Up to 1000V insulation voltage according to IEC possible

* Lateral drive possible (latching module not in the centre but on left or right hand side)

* Visible contacts (windows) available on request

* Design allows a big variation of terminal markings

* Removal from DIN rail can be done without tool change (screw driver for cross-recessed screws sufficient)
