Heating and Refrigeration Thermostats from CAL Controls

CAL Controls’ have introduced a new range of digital thermostats to their portfolio of temperature and process control products. In-line with CALs philosophy of providing affordable products that incorporate the latest technology, the thermostat range is targeted at heating and refrigeration applications where simple ON/OFF temperature control is required.
The thermostats are front-panel mounted (29 x 71mm cut-out) and have a large clear LED display displaying the current temperature. NTC or PTC sensor input options are available on most products with J-type thermocouple and PT100 also supported. The control outputs are 8A relay and for applications with larger loads, 16A relay versions are available.
Control set-point and other parameter settings can be entered via large tactile buttons on the fascia. Once set, a menu lockout feature can be enabled to ensure settings are not inadvertently changed.
A defrost function is integrated within some models. Various defrost methods are supported, such as manual/auto timed defrost or a second sensor input which monitors the evaporator temperature and triggers the defrost function when needed.
Full scale high/low, deviation high/low or band alarms can be configured on the device. These can be visual, audible or a relay output depending on the model type selected.
In addition to 230V AC, there are 12 and 24 VAC/DC low control voltage options.
